Eldrick Tont Woods, or as the public knows him, Tiger Woods, was born in December of 1975. He became one of America’s most renowned professional golfers. Woods makes over $100 million a year.
He was born in Cypress, California to Earl and Kultida Woods and was the only child. He does have a couple half-siblings from his dad's first marriage. He played junior and amateur golf and carried the name Tiger by then. He grew up in Orange County, California and graduated from Anaheim. He is of the Buddhist faith because of his mother's influence.
During the later part of 2003, Woods became engaged to a Swedish model after being introduced at the 2001 Open Championship. By the middle of 2004, they were married in Barbados. They have several homes including some in Wyoming, California, and Sweden. Tiger has two children, a boy and a girl, who are both less than five years of age.
Playing golf at age two helped make Woods the success he is today. He has played golf with Bob Hope as a toddler and when he was three, he was able to shoot a 48 over nine holes. He won the youngest age group in golf at the Junior World Golf Championship in 1984. He went on to win that title six more times.
In high school at Anaheim, he won the U.S. Junior Amateur. His fame started kicking off even more. After years of winning in the junior league, he finally played in the PGA tour at the Masters Tournament around 1996. After two years of college he quit and became a professional golfer.
