Watching TV On Your Computer

In order to watch TV on your computer, you will need to be connected to an internet service. An analog or digital TV tuner is required for being able to play TV in Windows Media Center. Most computers are sold with some sort of media player software, such as Microsoft Windows Media Player. Any of the software programs will allow you to watch TV by visiting NBC, ABC, AOL or FOX and downloading the software if it has not already been installed. Most of these networks are free to view at any time, and there are lots of shows available online.

There are TV channels that do not broadcast over the internet, but you are still able to watch these shows, if you purchase some extra equipment. An internal card that fits into a PCI slot on your computer's hard drive, or a Universal serial bus device that plugs directly into your computer is necessary. Once either one of these devices has been installed into your computer, you will need to open the tuner's software program and choose your TV channel. You can then switch channels and play your programs.

There is also another product available that can legally access thousands of TV channels from all over the world. It sends them to your computer through your internet connection. A one-time payment is required, then you will be able to watch hundreds of channels free of any additional charge. This program will work on all versions of Windows with over 3,000 stations for any PC in the world.
