The electric vehicle (E.V.) currently has a few problems, and they mainly have to do with the battery. It takes about five minutes to fill your tank with gas and you can only travel about eight miles after charging an E.V. for five minutes. When your battery is running low the convenience of recharging is a real problem. If you converted the gas stations into charging stations your going to have a parking problem because it takes too long to charge the battery.
One idea being tossed around is changing the battery. Instead of charging the battery you would just pull into your local E.V. battery change station, so instead of owning your battery, you would rent it. The manufacturer of the batteries would be responsible for supplying a place for you to exchange your battery. This would also eliminate the cost of replacing the battery once it goes bad.
Another problem with the electric vehicle is the style, lets face it, they just don't look that appealing. The Telsa Motor Company has come out with the first high performance elective vehicle. The founder has no experience in the auto industry, nor does he have any connection with the American auto industry. The same company is setting its sights on a four door sedan. So, if you would like to own an E.V. someday, it looks like you could have some nice options to choose from in the future.
