In nearly every decade of his life, an important American event has occurred and he had a hand in many of them. The 77-year-old senator's rendezvous with personal scandals to earning recognition as one of the oldest and most active members of the United States Democratic political party, make him a significant force in political arenas.
Senator Kennedy's last name, though it may be Irish, is as American as it comes. His well-liked and well-loved brothers, John Kennedy became president of the United States and his brother, Robert Kennedy, became a senator as well.
Ted Kennedy is accredited for several writings that range from 1968 to 2006. His writings reflect the public figure person who has spent his life trying to help the average person. He dedicated a considerable amount of his career to health issues the American public experienced.
In spite of his busy political career, Ted Kennedy took on the responsibility of surrogate father to his two brothers' children. He made himself available to all of them and provided guidance he knew his brothers would have given to his children.

He recovered from the surgery and continues to be a role model for the country. He is doing all he can to conquer the illness and not let it conquer him.
