Warner is a quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. He was born in 1971 in Iowa. He began his football career at the training camp for the Green Bay Packers in 1994, but never played for them because he was released. He returned to Iowa and did some coaching before he signed with the Iowa Barnstormers Arena Football League. While there he was in the AFL's all arena first team twice and appeared in the Arena Bowl.
Warner signed on with the St. Louis Rams in 1998 and in 1999 was the NFL MVP of the season. That year he also led the team to a win in Super Bowl XXXIV and went on to win the Super Bowl MVP award.
During the 2000 season Warner had 19 touchdowns in his first six games of the season. The Rams went to the playoffs that year, but lost to the Saints. In 2001 Warner led the Rams to another appearance in the Super Bowl and was again named the NFL MVP.
Kurt did not play much in the 2002 and 2003 season because of an injury. In 2004, he signed with the New York Giants, but did not do well.
In 2006 he signed with the Arizona Cardinals and the first week of the season was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. In 2007, he had 27 touchdowns with 3,417 passing yards.
In the 2008 season, Warner led his team to the Super Bowl, but lost to the Steelers. Warner does maintain the three highest single game passing yardage totals in Super Bowls.
